Speed Up Your Laptop

Here are my thoughts on speed up your laptop.

Performance laptop, or should I say lack of performance can be very frustrating. Remember when you bought your laptop. He zipped along like a breeze started the program almost immediately it seemed. What happened? How can you solve this problem?

Defragmentation

If you do not know what is defragmentation, you, you are not alone, many people have no idea what is defragmentation, and how they can benefit. This simple task can significantly accelerate performance.

Defragmentation is the process of reorganizing the way your hard disk stores things. If you bought your laptop, everything was nice and clean. This is mainly because almost nothing about them. The data blocks are empty. As time passes and as you add more programs and more, these blocks are a bit sloppy and start to spread throughout the disk. Defrag takes all the related blocks, and then when it needs information that one should try to too hard.

Empty the Recycle Bin

It's easy. I do not know why, but I can not tell you how many times I had people tell me they have not enough space on your hard drive completely filled containers get recycled! Do not forget to leave your garbage at home (hopefully), so why forget your trash is empty phones?

Delete temporary files

Your browser and operating system to store many files without your knowledge about them. They are known as temporary files. These temporary files are not intended to be maintained for a long time with the computer, but often are.

Kill Adware and Spyware

Spyware and adware are not only the most important problems, they take up valuable space and resources. There are many free programs available to get rid of these unwanted pesk.

Save space

If my laptop is too slow the first run I begin, take a look at the programs that I installed. I deleted everything that I do not use it regularly. This will clear up a lot of space. A full hard drive is running very slowly. I always have at least 500 MB of free space to a minimum.

Still slow?

So, if all the steps above and your laptop is still slow completed? You can clean your registry. But before I give you a warning to do. Be very careful when you do something to your registry. A small error can slow down your computer or worse than before. There are many registry cleaning software that can do the dirty work for you, without risk of breaking something.

Laptop Memory

Here are my thoughts on the laptop memory.

Laptops today are not just about size. Manufacturers are constantly producing new laptops with better specifications and higher, while a new laptop may be outdated and overtaken by new models in six months. To improve performance of your laptop and have a little further away from aging, you should seriously consider buying more portable memory.

What is so special?

You've probably heard of the Random Access Memory (RAM) for. It is one of the specifications that manufacturers and retailers to use to measure against other portable devices. If you've ever changed or updated by a desktop computer, then you definitely have seen it seems the RAM modules. These are long strips of green chips are held in place by clamps on the motherboard.

Reminder for laptops, is very different. RAM memory modules for laptops are much smaller than their desktop counterparts for the simple reason that laptops are smaller. Notebook RAM memory modules are not only designed to fit the smaller chassis, but also consume less energy. Therefore portable memory is often very expensive. You pay for the normal operation of compressed into a much smaller component.

Despite large differences in, RAM in laptops have the same functions as on a desktop computer. The computer uses RAM to temporarily hold data bits, while the processor to perform the calculations. The more RAM you have, the more bits of data from your computer can handle at once. That is the simple explanation why there is a significant boost in performance by adding RAM to a computer.

If you need more?

There are some situations that really require more memory to your laptop purchase. For example, if you have a slow computer, despite his good speed processor, the problem may lie in the memory (or lack thereof). Installing new or updated software may also require more memory to your laptop.

Most people agree that there is no such thing as "too much" when it comes to RAM in laptops. Although only 256 MB of RAM, a basic, no-frills notebook, but this type of unit on average have performed poorly in terms of speed. High amounts of RAM are nothing less than necessary in laptops the latest operating systems like Windows Vista, where up to 1 GB of RAM is often not enough.

Prior to the electronics store and clean their section of RAM memory, is a good idea to take a look at your laptop manual first. All laptops have some restrictions on the amount of RAM that each handle. Older models generally can contain up to 2 GB, while the latter which can hold up to 4 GB. Would sin if I had to buy more RAM, only to discover that your laptop could not handle the addition.
