When buying a laptop you first need to follow this tip. The store you go to makes a big difference and the time you'll buy the laptop. The best stores to buy a laptop are Best Buy, Staples, and Circuit City. Wal-Mart is okay but it has very few laptops and a bad return policy on computers.

The time you get a laptop can determine if you spend 388 on an 850 laptop. The best time to buy a laptop is on Black Friday. This is the best day because a numerous amount of stores will be having mind blowing sales, and the holiday season alone is the best time because the computer you buy will more than likely be up to date and on sale.
The next tip is "What's on the inside counts". When buying a laptop the inside counts. If you are buying a multimedia computer you should buy a Mac or a Windows Media Center or Vista Home Premium laptop with at least 2.0 gigahertz. Also space matters at least 80GB. If you are buying for the wireless user make sure it has WIFI and Bluetooth included, and space doesn't matter at least 60GB and a processing of 1.6 gigahertz.
My last tip is brand makes a difference. If you are buying a laptop I recommend Dell, HP, Acer, Compaq, Sony, or Apple (Mac OS). Other brands like Acer and Everex are hard to find accessories like batteries and chargers without going online.
